No bicycle store in Dayton has the large inventory that this store does.....and that matters when you are deciding on a bike style and size. You can't ride a picture of a bike or a promise that the bike you want to try will be in....next week.
If i could give no stars i would. Dropped bike off for wheel truing after calling ahead and was told it would be ready the same day (Monday), this was not the case. We agreed to let them keep the bike till Saturday morning after the tech asked if he could have a day or so. Called Friday evening and was told they need another four days and they had not touched it yet. Went in to get the bike to take it to a professional local shop (Tipp Cyclery) and was met by an old ignorant tech who pointed and said their it is. So if you appreciate being lied to and treated rudely then Performance bike is for you.
Do my own bicycle service....have picked the brains of several of the techs at Preformance and they have guided me well to solve my bicycle challenges.
I visited this store today with my daughter. I intended to purchase a new bike for her and some accessories for myself as well as inquiring about repair pricing. When we walked into the store there was a group of people, nobody said hi. I proceeded to browse and found an item I planned to purchase. I walked back to the repair area because it was the first place that I saw employees who were not currently helping a customer. I stood at the counter as one employee kept looking at me, never saying hi or asking if he could direct me to someone to help me. Two other employees kept walking by me and never acknowledged me. It was so incredibly rude. I returned my item to its original location and walked out of the store. The service was so horrible. I will not recommend this store to anyone. Thankfully I proceeded to K&G Bike Center in Kettering and had a great experience.
Good people.... fantastic store .... It is what you make of it. If you go into the store with a bad attitude and treat the workers badly...you will have a bad experience. Treat them well and kindness will be returned to you.
Terrible service, rude manager. Dropped off mtn bike that I bought there because I'd broken the derailleur hanger. As I needed it the next weekend I asked that they call me if they couldn't get one. When I went to pick it up there was no hanger and I wasn't called. Worst yet they LIED about calling. They confirmed my number but my week's call log showed no call. Amazing they would try to lie in the age of cellphones. And nothing resembling an apology, either. All over a bike bought at their store! That's terrible service!
Good selection both in store and online. Have spent thousands in this store and have yet to be disappointed in service or quality of their products. Always asked if I need help when I walk in. Returns are absolutely no problem.
Walked in to look around and see there prices for fixing my back wheel didn’t get a hi or if I needed any help terrible service, to think I was going to spend my money there. GO TO K&G OR KETTERING BIKE SHOP MUCH BETTER SERVICE THERE!!
