I was informed by the manager, in person, that this property failed its last property inspection. Yes, really. Apparently the top secret info isn't available on the interwebz (until now) so consider this a warning.
The rooms were spacious and had a nice layout for a small family. Water was inconsistent if other people were using it in the building, and some of the air vents were unsecured. With some minor maintenance, this could be an easy five star establishment if you want a quiet place for your family to overnight.
This dumpster fire of a "hotel" was one of the nastiest, least accommodating places I've ever stayed, and I've seen a spectrum of roadside lodgings. Check-in was sketchy but we opted to stay because we were several days into a road trip, it was late, and we had an exhausted kiddo. When we let the management know of the room conditions they basically tried to gaslight us. We reached out to our booking agency who also contacted the hotel--who told them that because ours was the first complaint they'd received, they could do nothing about it. Really? Nobody has ever complained about the stained, ripped sheets, brown stains seemingly everywhere, rotting wooden steps, smell of ditch weed and just general filth? Huh. I guess we must be fussy customers who demand hygienic lodgings for paying the going rate. To their credit, they did offer $20 off our next stay. Useless to us, because there is never going to be a next stay.
Very dated and run down. They do not clean unless you request it not do they clean very well between guests, we found several used towels and washcloths from previous guests in one of the baths and if anyone is running water in the building you get no water out of the shower head so don't plan on a morning shower also their is no elevator. Will not stay here again. The marriot offers much better accomedation for $20 to $30 dollars more.
The hotel room and amenities were nice enough but my husband and I were apalled to see an African American man seemingly being racially profiled right in front of us. We were waiting behind him to check in and he had to pay a 100$ deposit fee for the room, which is all well and good if we had to pay it too, but the man at the counter didn't ask us. I don't think that's right. In the future I hope they learn to be fair to all people. I won't be staying here again.
The rooms are good. We were three people and there was just 1 queen bed and extendable bed from couch. The problem I found was the utensils in the kitchen were not that good and clean. They were pretty old. Overall it was good.
