Have tried other jewelry stores and have never found the combination of good service and reasonable prices that this store offers.
There were a lot of extra fees as well she was not very up front about. The whole experience made me feel uncomfortable spending that much money there.
Just today we came in for a repair inquiry and we did not have the paperwork. The store manager used our account information and took the time to find our purchase in the digital records. Then, she made the entire process of organizing the repair very easy and was very upfront and realistic with us about the expected return date of the repair.
They charged us for things we didn't know about. The ring fell apart on the way home. They charged us to fix it even though we had insurance. Never got it back in a month so they gave us another ring 2 weeks later a Dimond fell out . Hard inquiry on our credit when they lied an it would be a soft inquiry. An that's not even half of it. .
This store is terrible. The repair department is terrible. They don't call you back. The repair department doesn't fix anything they are supposed to. They don't keep records or give correct records for their inspections. I have an emerald ring that I keep having problems with and they are saying I haven't had it inspected since 2011. Bull! Why is all my other rings having no problems just this one when I get them inspected at the same time every 6 months??? Osterman has lost my business for sure!! Go elsewhere for your jewelry needs people! There are more 1 star reviews that 5 star. That should tell you a lot about this company.
Feel bad for the guy originally helping us. He was really nice. But, we got passed onto a female employee who was absolutely terrible.
Told us we would have to open a credit card with them to get the ring the correct size and made a lot of assumptions about our financial status.
She did do a great job of watching a few thousand dollars walk out of the store though.
They don't know how to run a business. The store manager sold us a ring that couldn't get resize. So they let it sit there for 2 weeks without no-one calling us. Then we tried to return it. The paper work didn't get done for another week.
Have never had a negative experience at this store. They have events often and invite you regularly as long as you indicate interest.
